What is a Sensory Play Space?

A sensory gym is a dedicated space with specialized equipment used to help children with sensory processing difficulties by providing access to specific types of sensory input throughout their day to help desensitize, regulate, and develop coping skills. Sensory gyms can be installed in an entire room of unused space, such as a basement, loft, or spare room, or they can be incorporated into areas of the home that require dual purpose, such as a playroom, bedroom, or other living spaces. Prosper Therapy specializes in designing, building, and installing custom sensory gyms in commercial and residential settings. Our team collaborates with each client to create custom spaces that are integrated into the style of their home or clinic. Other companies often take a “one size fits all” approach to creating sensory spaces, but our team recognizes that each client has unique sensory needs and requirements for their gym.

Consult

Each project begins with a free consultation to determine the scope and your specific needs. The virtual consultations are done with our therapists and can be scheduled at convenient times for you. We will discuss options for your space and answer any questions you might have

Design

Our team then collaborates with you to create a custom design for your project. We offer creative solutions and recommendations that meet your needs. We also give you a custom concept design to provide a better idea of how your vision will look.

Build

Once your design is finalized, our experienced team of craftsman will begin the process of bringing your vision to reality. Each structure is hand-crafted using appropriate materials to ensure durability and child safety. We also use trusted vendors for any pre-manufactured equipment.

Install

All equipment and structures are built at our shop and transported to your location for installation. Once installed, our team will show you how to safely use all of the installed equipment. Our structures are also designed to be easily removed and relocated in the future if necessary.

Sensory Caves

  • Do you service my area?

    Prosper Therapy Services is based in North GA and accepts projects nationally. 

  • How much does a sensory gym cost?

    A sensory space or commercial gym is always individualized, just like any effective intervention, and is based on the spending needs of the client(s). The cost of a one-of-a-kind space depends on a number of

    factors. However, our most popular combination of products is our elite home package which includes a two-panel climbing wall with an integrated sensory cave, and a sensory swing. This package starts at $3500 for local installations, but the final price depends on location and home specifics. Our commercial gyms average in “footprint” size of 400-1000 sq. ft. Depending heavily on the custom work wanted and the items selected, these gyms range from $15,000+. We’ve completed commercial gyms for many clients who serve thousands of kids without a single dissatisfied customer. We aim to create amazing, one-of-a-kind spaces that are unmatched in customization and quality, and we do this expertly with passion and care. 

  • How long does it take to have a gym installed?

    Installation of our gyms can typically be completed in a few hours to 2-3 non-business days depending on the scope of the project. We strive to complete our work when it is convenient for you so that your life or business is minimally interrupted.

  • Are there financing options available for a sensory gym?

    We offer a 3 phase payment system that allows us to design, build, and install your new sensory space. We continually work to provide the highest quality products that provide years of functional use while remaining safe and beautiful for our clients. Our creation team works diligently to keep our costs affordable while providing the best possible sensory spaces.

  • Does Prosper use pre-fabricated materials or is everything custom made?

    We custom design and build each and every sensory space according to the client’s specific needs, whether it’s a swing or an entire sensory gym. We incorporate high-quality materials, products, and supplies from our well-trusted suppliers and partners. Your space will be handcrafted by our creation team unlike any other.

  • What kind of warranties are available?

    Prosper Therapy Services guarantees our custom craftsmanship to be free from defects in terms of design, construction, and engineering for 1 year with designed usage. As an example, a play structure may be designed for children, but adult use is completely possible and often encouraged. We also follow manufacturer warranty on the implemented products we use for our builds, passing those guarantees onto our clients. Our products often outlast their intended use, remaining durable and high quality for many, many years. We also offer relocation and disassembly of our products should you wish to change or move locations.
